About to start.

Hello to all, i have just bought a vivaro swb high top to convert, i have never attempted this kind of work before so any advise would be greatly accepted, first off i am trying to get windows for this van, it seems there are two types, i would add that i would like the window nearest the cooker( when i get one in )to slide open and shut. is it a good idear to have a roof window? and finally how hard is it to get hold of a swivel passenger seat for this van type? are there any companys out there that under take this kind of work. i am bassed on the border of east lancs/north yorks. is there anyone local to me out there who's done a conversion and know the local trades that can help with windows and swivel seat, i feel these two jobs are better done by experts.

Vivaro conversion

Hey - good to hear you're givin' conversion a go!  Not sure what the 2 types of window for a Vivaro are, do you mean old style rubber mounts and new style bonded windows?  I think old style are fine and should be cheaper but depends on what you like the look of.  A sliding window over the cooker is a good idea.  A vent in the roof would probably be better but always a risk cutting a hole in your roof if you don't absolutely have to!  There are a few companies who sell windows on the internet, there's a company in North Yorks - vanwindows, which ain't too far from you so might be worth a visit and a chat. They could do the fitting too.   Not sure about the swivel.  Another online company - the vanshop do a universal seat swivel - might be worth asking if that'll do the Vivaro.  Hopefully someone else local might see this post and have some ideas.  Good luck :o)
