Turning an old Minibus into a Motorhome

I've been working on this conversion on and off since April 2008. The main objective has been to convert the bus as cheaply as possible using anything I can get my hands on. I'm almost done and so far the build has only cost me around £240.00.

Check out http://abusforus.blogspot.com/ for lots of pictures and more details.

Thanks :-)

Plan a visit real soon and have the pleasure vacation that you're dreaming of. California has your type of adventure covered. Just make sure that you plan your vacation ahead and book the perfect flight, hotel, and rented car. California is so much fun and so much easier to explore with your own car to drive. The buses and the taxis around here are not that reliable, especially because of the fact that the US is mainly a private car country. Every family has at least one car in their garage for their local transportation needs. This makes the demand for taxis and buses so much lower. Therefore it can be a problem finding a ride on the streets especially during the peak hours when everybody is out and there were a few public transports on the streets.

Wow nice thoughts.I think if every body involve in such activities then we can conserve our resources and money for better use and also recycle our old things. I often participated in renewable energy discussions.

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone can help. I wish to buy a minibus/van of some kind ripe for conversion. Can't really afford a transporter but wish to put a pop top on one as I'm very tall and like the light/vibe it creates. Also want to sleep upstairs. Can new pop tops be put on other makes too? Anybody know the criteria??

Thanks, Sharon

Hi Ruth, thank you for your positive comments

Yes, I've probably spent as much time thinking about it than I have building it. Just need the weather to warm up so I can carry on with the painting.
