Transit passenger seats

I am converting a 2002 MWB 350 Transit and want to change the passenger double seat for a single seat that I can later mount on a swivel base.

Having looked on e-bay I have found plenty of Transit Connect seats but no single passenger seats for the MWB 350, does anyone know of a Transit model seat that can be used.

why not adapt a luxury seat

why not adapt a luxury seat from something like a Volvo, Jag etc. Then you could have a plush leather one!

A, in theory I guess you could have any kind of seat as long as the base is compatible with the swivel plate and floor fixings. However, safety (seat belts, height etc) does matter too so you need the vaguely right seat. Would have thought a transit connect seat would be ok but that is maybe kinda of like assuming a ford escort roof rack will fit a ford focus! I guess I'd go look at some or speak to the manufacturer..... R

I'am converting a transit 350 mwb 2006 mess van and these have a single passenger seat ,doyou know if it would be possible to put a double seat into mine ?and get rid of the single

Hi Tintramp,

I'm just about to try and do the opposite, move my double and fit a single. I would have thought the van floors will take either seat frame but will let you know when I take out the double. If you need a home for your single, let me know as I'm also having trouble finding one!
