Adding a campervan mains hookup
Fri, 01/22/2010 - 11:26 — campergirlHi,
Haven't actually done this myself so hoping someone else can give you some pointers for the DIY option. In terms of getting someone else to do it I reckon any of the main campervan conversion companies should be able to do it - where are you based? Another option would be if you knew a good sparky. Your local electrician may be able to have a look and could be cheaper than a professional conversion company although they are most likely to know exactly what their doing. I'd phone round and gets some prices. Let us know how you get on.
MAINS HOOKUP
Mon, 01/25/2010 - 18:00 — JONSALONI would imagine that fitting a mains hook-up is not much different to fitting a mains spur into an outside shed or garage - cable from mains fusebox to another smaller fusebox mounted in the shed then wire up to a twin socket also mounted in the shed. Make sure that the ampage of the fuses in the fusebox are correct. Is there anyone who has done this for a van ?
